Pleased to offer this fabulous Sherwood Newcastle combo…the AM-9080 Amplifier, and the AVP-9080 tuner/preamp.
This beast of an amp (~70 lbs!) puts out 120 wpc into 8 ohms at 0.05 THD; 170 wpc into 4 ohms at 0.09 THD. As the specs would suggest, these are clean, powerful watts.
The preamp offers lots of analog (8 of them!) and digital (coax and optical) options, and several processing modes. Also a phono input, with MM or MC setting.
Cosmetics are excellent. Not mint, but very presentable.
I have been using this set up in a secondary system, paired with Vienna Acoustic floor standers, and they sound fabulous.
NOTE - I have only ever use this as a two channel stereo set up. No reason to think that there is any issues with the other channels, but I never used this as a surround system. THIS IS BEING SOLD AS A TWO CHANNEL STEREO AMP/PREAMP.
